My Little Corner of the World

Welcome to 24 Cranham Street!

I live in a house with 5 other girls. Two of the girls are first time Oxford students like me: Vanessa from South Carolina and Jaime from Ohio. I also live with Natalie who is a grad student at Oxford and from Florida. There also is Hannah, who is here for her second semester in Oxford through OSAP, and Elisa who is not an Oxford student. She is from Italy and wants to get a doctorate degree but first she must become fluent in English. She moved to England and works here until December when her doctorate degree begins.

Coming in the front door, there are two bedrooms on either side, stairs leading up to the other four bedrooms and two bathrooms, and the living room.

Complete with digital TV, a VHS player, and two DVD players –
one for playing DVD’s from England and the other for DVD’s from America).

The kitchen is behind the living room,
and there is a door in the kitchen that leads out to the back door patio.

Hey Laura - what do you see in the bottom right hand corner of the picture?!?

The house also comes with washer and drier! Wahoo!

This is the dining room.

And finally, my room!

There is a really nice view out my window.

There are a lot of skeleton keys used here. It's so fun!

Jaime, me, Natalie, Mona, and Vanessa.

For the first week that I was in Oxford, these were the ladies of the house. Mona stayed with us until her house was finished with renovations. (We all miss her so much!) Hannah and Elisa didn't move in until last week. I still need to get a new picture with all the girls who are living here for the semester.

So there you have it - my digs while I'm in England. Pretty sweet, huh?
